The perfect introduction to riding motorcycles! We focus on fundamental skills and knowledge necessary to begin your journey with confidence. Some of the basic skills included are: clutch control, throttle control, brake use, shifting, balance, corners, curves, and emergency braking. After this course, you will have a basic understanding of primary controls, simple motorcycle motion, and the science behind motorcycling, giving you a basic understanding suited to riding in residential areas.
Lv2 Scout – Intermediate Skills:
The second day continues the skills developed during day one. During Lv2 Scout, we kick things up a notch by focusing on motorcycle maneuverability with intermediate skills like: combined control inputs for assertive starting/stopping, slalom, avoidance, lane changes, U-turns, 90 degree starts, situational awareness, and emergency maneuvers. Our theory lessons on day 2 are focused on your safety as we explore motorcycle risk management, key causes of crashes, and setting proper mindsets for life-long safe riding. Lv2 training covers each type of motion you will need on main roads. Riders who complete Lv2 Scout will be primed with assertive motorcycle control making them comfortable venturing onto public roadways.
